Apply to the Met

At The Metropolitan Regional Career and Technical Center (the Met), we use a multifaceted educational model that works best when students are motivated and accountable for their learning. With high standards and strong family engagement, the Met’s individualized education approach has proven successful in unlocking students’ passion for learning, one student at a time.

The Met empowers its students to take charge of their learning, and to become responsible citizens and lifelong learners. Our five academic learning goals help students develop problem-solving skills, express themselves creatively, expand their knowledge base, interact effectively with others, and design meaningful projects - all the while challenging themselves to new ideas.

Learning goes beyond the classroom. Our internship program provides a vehicle for connecting real-world learning to the curriculum. At the Met, we utilize the internship and mentor relationship to create a full circle of learning through project-based work.

We enroll families. Parents and siblings are an integral part of our schools. We work to maintain strong relationships between home and school, knowing that the spirit of community, cultural diversity, and the people that surround us enrich life within the Met.

We invite you to visit the Met, meet our staff and our students, and explore real-world learning with us.

The Met seeks motivated and curious learners eager to pursue their interests in a real-world setting. Met Students take ownership of their learning and develop academic skills by exploring various interests.
